HOW STRETCH MARKS FORM
Two triggering factors of stretchmarks include pregnancy and adolescence. During these times the body can produce high adrenal activity, increasing the production of glucocorticoids (steroid hormones). Under the influence of these steroid hormones the growth of both fibroblast and keratinocytes cells are blocked, these cells are responsible for building the skins matrix.
